COOKING IN THE EMIRATES
In 2012 I was invited to the Sharjah International Book Fair, in the United Arab Emirates hosted by the Department of Culture and Information. I was among 30 guests of authors, artists and teachers in the field of children's literature, who participated in a series of seminars, workshops and demonstrations which were held as part of the official Sharjah Children's Reading Festival. The SCRF also included visits to schools in the UAE providing children the opportunity to meet with authors and artists from all over the world.
I meet Executive Chef Reinhard Truchlar of the Corniche Al Buhaira Hotel ( where I stayed ) to talk over Middle Eastern recipes by the hotel pool side.
